main problem is i was told they were600 watts max 400 rms but once they arrived the box reads 200rms/400rms 600 peak each,1200 total power.so went and bought a cheap cuspid amp suppose to be 1400 peak but only like 160 watts rms per channel its 4 channel. so i bridged it over and cant tell any diffrence. once i turn it up to about 15 on the deck with the amp maxxed out on both sides it doesnt put out any more bass and starts to sound like im maxxing out my subs is it my subs or amp? please any advise or answers would be apreciated
First welcome to caraudiotalk.com. Second, four channel amps typically make poor sub amps. You need more amp. I guess you have two subs so lets get an amp around 500-watts RMS or more. Post in the amplifier section for some recommendations. Box Box Box. You want good sound, you need a well built box. Check out the box building posts.
its the amp. also sounds like your clipping the signal. turn your gain down first. as bad as that amp is it can maybe work for mids an highs later. i would look into another amp tho.
