A Freind of mind Just Purchased a 1985 Regal Limited...

He Paid $650 for it, has 124,000 Miles, Engine Overhaul around 100,000 because the previous owner blew a head so he just redid the whole eng...

Has a TH350 Tranny (upgraded from the Metric 250(ithink) that was stock,

Has the 3.8L (I belive) stock eng (that was the stock eng right? Have not dug in to the eng yet, to damn cold)

Anyway, I did notice the "kick down" for the tranny was not hooked up, the pervious owner says it will not attach with out some adapter, what do i need to get it fixed.... I have not looked at ti all that much but it would save me some time if you knew off the top of your head

Plus any tips or anything at all we should do, ot watch out for one these cars

He is getting rid of his 89 Olds Cutlass because it was a POS... but then again it had about 250K so...

The limited most likely had the 307 or the 350 in it. The tranny that was in there was the 200-R4. 3.8s weren't all that high optioned a motor. The only adapter I can think of is the quick connect at the carb. The clip that clips on the throttle linkage. I think he will be forced to buy the whole kickdown cable :(

there is, but off the top of my head I cannot say. If it is a 6 it will be the 3.8. That is what is in my Elco ;) . She may get a Nat engine sometime... Or, she may not.

I was just looking at gnttype.com and I have the VIN codes

are there any sites that you know of for non-turbo buicks?

I am sure he was like to put a turbo eng. in but I am just as sure he could not afford it :D

I think BGNRA.com may have some non turbo buick stuff on it.
