Here we go again....the engineer is coming out

i think its because the lower u tune the better you pick up the lows i could be wrong but thats what i think cause when i tuned to 40hz with my p3 it was loud but it sounded better on the music tuned to 32hz to me becasue i listen to alot of deep bass rap and chopped and screwed

 

yea i think i read that alot of people that burp tune in the 60-70hz range
i mean im sure thats ****tyon the music but just for burping its off the chain

 

tuning high like higher than 40Hz normally gives a really sharp peaky response and sharp drop off of the low end...kinda like a fart box

 

when i get back im gonna try some db drag or something like that maybe even build me a fart box lol

 

get a meter..play a sine sweet from 100hz to 20Hz

see where your peak frequency is..if you want a loud box than tune the enlclosure so it peaks at your vehicles resonant frequency

Don't tune to the peak frequency cuz then the box will peak higher than the car's resonant freq

 

yea im gonna really be building boxes when i get back i have alot of people alreadywanting me to make one becasue i told them i will charge 100 plus wood, glue and screw cost VS. the local shops who charge 250 as a minimum for just a 1 10 box

 

same here, pretty soon im gonna be buildin a box for a Fi BL 15" and two MTX 5500s

Sh!t i still need to build my beast for my 19Ov.2

and a handful of other cabinets...hw, tests, and writing papers takes up the majority of my time and working on the weekends gives me no time to build...makes me sad haha

 

well i'm relying on the word of the people to build there boxes, its just an idea that they have so who knows

 

thats gonna be the suprise im getting when i get back for these people 4 FI BL 18s with probably 2 sundown SAZ 3000d amps gonna be a beast im gonna sacrifice my back seats for this monster box gonna be around 24-28 cubestuned to probably 28-32hz man i cant wait thats gonna be a really long build log too

 

hurry up and build them...I wanna see some pictures

 

yea i know i would but i leave for Iraq the 1st of october thats y im gonna just wait til i get back but its definately gonna be worth it i might have to drive up so u can hear them too you in indiana right
