hello. please help if you can. I have a 2 channel 550 watt dub mag amp and a 400 watt rms audiobahn sub. I want to run a pair of mids off the amp aswell and am getting conflicting advice. Can anyone tell me how to do it.(my question mark doesn't work, sorry!!)

    first off welcome. :)

ok... it can be done but you will need passive crossovers to do so. i dont know your budget, but if your like me you want it cheap, lol.

i know my local walmart sells a passive sub crossover for 20ish bucks. you will also need a crossover for your mids as well, or a decent cap i.e bass blocker.

what impedance is your sub? i want to say that it may have to have an 8 ohm load on the sub if your running 2 ohm stereo. or a 4 ohm load to the sub if your running 4 ohm stereo speakers. all head unit crossovers will have to be turned off.

list what you have, then i can help out more. this is an old school way BTW.

you can also run the mids off of the had unit and amp the sub for more power.
