So i have a 2002 bmw 330i and i currently have 6.5" MB Quart Components front and back powered by an MB Quart 4ch amp but i also have 2 12" kicker l7 hooked up to a kicker ZX2500.1 in a custom box tuned to 40hz so the bass sometimes drains out the sound so i was wondering what components were better to put in my car? The headunit is a Pioneer Avic N2 so its pretty good sounds quality, please give me your suggestions? Thanks.
good reviews and i have always heard jl put out a good product JL Audio TR650-CSi - 6-1/2" 2-Way Component System • 50W RMS • butyl rubber surround • polyswitch tweeter protection • neodymium magnet tweeters • perfect fit in many U.S. and European vehicles - , Car Speakers, 6-1, 2" Component Systems - Sonic Elec
I wouldn't use these for high volume installs...these are entry level. First off how are the speakers you have now installed?? have you thoroughly installed sound dampening material over the panels the speakers are mounted to. Doing this can make the overall output quite noticeable. Also to keep up with two 12L7s ported you may have to put another component set up front if you can't hear them well...also add more power to your front stage.
if thats what u want ill recomend you Beyma...they are the loudest mids ive ever heard and they sound really clean the only proble is that they are a bit expensive but imo they are the loudest
ok ok ill give u the links to the beyma speakers so u can see them... the mids have 98db of sensitivity and the tweets have from about 104db-107db something like that
Beyma PRO 6MI - 2 6-1/2" Midwoofers • 250 watts MAX • Frequency Response: 150 - 8000 Hz • Sensitivity: 98 dB • 4 ohm Impedance - , Car Speakers, Midbass Drivers - Sonic Electronix these are the mids Beyma AST-05 - 1.5" Bullet Tweeters • 100 watts MAX • Frequency Response: 3 - 20kHz • Sensitivity: 105dB • 4 ohm Impedance - , Car Speakers, Tweeters - Sonic Electronix Beyma PH-35 - 4" Bullet Tweeters • 100 watts MAX • Frequency Response: 3.5 - 20kHz • Sensitivity: 104 dB • 4 ohm Impedance - , Car Speakers, Tweeters - Sonic Electronix those two are the tweets...these are loud as hell..i have a friend that had 4 mids and 2 tweeters and was louder than a guy that had about 10 fullrange speakers..now he is up to 8 apeakers and hes planning on getting 12 so hes gonna be like 3 times louder than he was lol....another thing i like about these is that they have recones for them
you may loose some midbass with those.you can maybe add those in with your comps up front in a kick panel. or you can lower the bass some?
alright well jz0306 is at work... im his brother... and wanted to mention is he is getting a audiocontrol set up put in his car... is that going to make a vast difference? the installer there had been saying to get just another set of tweeters for the front... or a new set of components, if not he had been wanting to build a box in the back for like 4 6x9's and put in another amp...
if you want loud and clean I would just get a nice powerful component set and go active something like this should do it Elemental Designs or Elemental Designs
yea i saw that when i was looking at the nine.1 before... its just that you cant get elemental designs just anywhere... so we are trying to find some to have em soon.
Well I really like the JL VR series components...they sound awesome and get loud also I'd definitely go active though
jl vr or any beymas? would be good?... anything that will be louder than the mb quart esa 216's he has already.
they arent mine... I dont know what he is gonna do with them. they were fine til he got the custom box and the zx2500.1 ha ha. I will be sure to tell him to check out the suggestions once he is home.
