i just installed an hcca 10.2 in a 1.7cu.ft box firing up in my truck......it sounds horrible.sounds as if its bottoming out and only plays very low notes.is it because the sealed box is too large.orion calls for .5-.8 but Orions techs told me it would work in my 1.7.it calls for 1.2 ported....should i port it?will that make it sound better?thanks for any help
is that the only way you can make it? firing up? that may be the reason why it sounds crappy. you may want to fire them towards the front of the truck. In most trucks that i see they don't fire them up.
up is the only way to fit a sub like the hcca in it.i said screw it and ported it and it sounds night and day different except would like a little more output and doesnt sound so great playing some rock and metal...any suggestions for that?
