Help with amps and subs on a budget

Hi guys,

Currently i own an '01 Expedition that i want to set up. Right now i'm only using my OEM HU and DLS component speakers at 50watts rms 80watts max in the front and DLS coaxials in the rear. I do have a 12" sub (not worth mentioning) that a bazooka type that is powered and i connected it using hi-input (i plan on giving that away to a friend).

So this is what i need help with, I need an amp to power my DLS with. I have no idea what to get. In other forums this was the only suggestion i got:

Kicker KX150.2 Amp, 75Wx2

I was thinking of this:
Phoenix Gold Octane R 2 Ch 250 Watt Amp

For the subs (i haven't decided if i want one or two 12" subs) but this is what was suggested to me.

Ascendant audio Assassin 12"
JBL P1220DII 12" Subwoofer, DVC, 2 Ohms
Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 (buy one get one free)

I really need help with the amp for the sub, what subs i should look into getting and what amp i should get for my DLS. I'm looking for a bit of both SQ and SPL but i want to use a ported enclosure. I would like to keep the budget to about $500. I really neet your help, the more i look at things now the more confused i get.
