just finishing installing a kicker 800.2 amp and everytyhing is working fine. It puches the the 2 12's that i have pretty hard without clipping out but whenever i turn the system off and take out thekey, the green power light on the amp doesnt come off. Any idea what the problem might be? Im thinking maybe the amp is messed up. The amp also has a red kicker logo in the middle of the amp that lights up when the amp is running, that goes out when the system is off but not the power light.
Thats weird cause that same remote wire is jumped from the other amp that i have running my mids and highs and that amps power light turns off when i shut the system off??///
do you have the remotes wired together, or is the remote from amp "B" wired to the power wire from amp "A"?
Are you sure the remote wires are wired together...if one shuts off than the other should cuz that would mean there is not a 12 volt signal Meter the voltage at the amp that is staying on
im positive, i crimped both of them together but i will go ahead ahead and check the voltage of both, i will even post pics if that will help
Thats really strange and I'm trying to figure out how to diagnose this. First disconnect the Kicker Remote wire, does the power light go off? If not, Amp problem. If it does go off the hook the remote wire back up, does the powerlight turn back on? If it does, disconnect the remote wire from the other amp, does the Kicker powerlight go on or off I need to think about where to go from here.
