Once again I am the victim of crime. Parked out back one night and came back to see one window and one Sony DVD receiver missing. I'm done swearing and ready to replace it. Have been looking at Alpine IVA-D310 or D100. Was not totally thrilled with the Sony but got a great deal on it and still have the Sony TV tuner in the car so I might stay with them. Not a big Pioneer fan but that's from the old SuperTuner days. Here's what I'm looking for, ranked by importance. 1. Great Ipod controls integrated into the head unit. 2. Ability to play DVD audio, including MP3 burned to DVD, movie DVDs and audio CDs through a slot in the head unit. 3. A good quality radio. 4. Ability to buy a Sirius unit and have it be controlled by the head unit. Currently I tote my Sirius Sportster back and forth but that is an unsightly option. Note that I do NOT need an amp as the thieves were in a hurry and didn't touch my amps or my Infinity speakers or my TV tuner. Also while I am a fan of good audio and video, I am not immersed in the hobby and am not going to be able to talk crossovers and impedance and staging and capacitors with you. I plan to pay a professional to install the thing and just want it to look and sound great. Also I am not made of money and want to keep the price of items under $1k. I have spotted the Alpine IVA-D310 for 800 and that seems workable. All I need is the head unit, and possibly a new TV tuner if the Sony is incompatible and possibly (though doubtful at least at first) a Sirius unit. I will not need a changer, amps or speakers as they are still in there. Thank you Art Is the Alpine a good choice? Any other alternatives?
recommend this first, welcome back may be you could see it in **********, an online store, selling car audios & videos, i get mine from it. show me mine: hope you could find yours, GOOD LUCK
I went with the IVA-W205 I love it! Has everything you want except you need to buy the iPod reciever which brings all your iPod controls up on the touchscreen
