alright i jus bought 2 10" Kicker L5 4 ohm, well i wanna get a mono amp but jus havent found the right 1
How much you looking to spend ? Bunch of amps that will do the trick. Gonna need something that can handle a 1ohm load. Cause the power your looking for at 4ohm is gonna be hella expensive
not really, refurbed Cadence Z9000 should put out about 900 watts bridged at 4 Ohms conservatively speaking...
i love the soundstream 900D....they're only $300 if you can still find them now....They're 900 watts RMS 2000 watts max and 1 ohm stable
wat if i put 1 of these 2 each 1 Sony XM-DS1300P5 200 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms 400 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms Class D design variable low-pass crossover (50-300 Hz at 12 dB per octave) variable bass boost (0-10 dB at 40 Hz) subsonic filter (for cleaner performance) speaker- and preamp-level inputs preamp outputs remote bass control gold-plated connectors requires 4-gauge power/ground leads ? wiring and hardware not included with amplifier 11-5/8"W x 2-1/4"H x 11-1/2"D
or how about this 1 2 power both of them Kenwood KAC-9152D 1800W Mono Power Amplifier RMS Power Range : 500-900 Watts Number Of Channels: 1 Maximum Power: 1800 Watts Low Frequency response: 50 Hz High Frequency Response: 200 Hz Built In Crossovers: Yes Channel Separation: YesMono channel Power Amplifier with Dual Mono Drive Function RMS Power: 500W x 1 @ 4 ohms RMS Power: 900W x 1 @ 2 ohms RMS Power: 900W x 1 at 1 ohms RMS Power: 900W x 2 at 4 ohms (Dual Mono Drive) Aluminium Die-casting Heat Sink Detachable Aluminium Dress Plate & Top Panel Control Dual Mono Drive (Bridged Connections of KAC-9152D x 2) Gold Plated Input/Output Terminals Single Side Exposure of Terminals for Multi Installation
I would recommend the kenwood anyday over sony you might also check out the alpines, hifonics, or jbl gto series
Of those two hands down the kenwood. I have a thing against any sony product. Short of the older es stuff. I have had problems with almost every piece I owned or installed. ~450w each should be nice, gonna put them in a ported enclosure ?
Ported I hope, the l5's and l7's really come alive ina ported enclosure. Inverted or not really makes no difference other than aestethics (sp?)
Are you looking to build your own enclosure and want us to help you design one? Cuz if you want ported than go ported. I personally prefer l5/l7s in a ported box. Sealed sounds a little too mushy to me.
Well the only way you'll learn is to try it. We'll all be happy to help you design a proper enclosure for you. Just tell us what kind of space you have to work with (width, highth, depth)
