This is going in a 2007 silverado classic extended cab 4x4 with factory radio.
    So far I have. "2 Kenwood KFCW3011 1200 WATT 12" Subs" and a "Kenwood KAC-8104D 1000 watt class D mono power amplifier"

I need a choice of a good HU to go with this and good clear sounding speakers, wirring for the amp and anything else anyone can suggest for me Id like to be between the $300 - $500 range.

Also would i need to go 6.5 for the front and 4.6 for the rear.

any help would be appreciated. I will try and build the box myself

$300 - $500 for a head unit, component speakers for the front and speakers for the rear?

First off, i would suggest keeping the speakers in the rear stock and just run them off the head unit.

What kind of stereos are you looking for? what do you want it to do?

As for speakers for the front. I would suggest to let your own ears to tell you what is to your liking.

I could suggest some brands for you to look at:

    Polk
    Focal
    DLS

If you are really on a budget though, you may want to look at some Phoenix Gold RSD's. They are supposed to have really nice sound for only about $70 for a set.

welp again iam biased asfar as hU's and ill preach pioneer and alpine and kenwood. but that's just me. for a silverado set up ide shoot for a pioneer if your not wanting blue tooth right off the cuff but the ability to upgrade later check out the pioneer Duh-p6000 good selectables for a truck. as far as comps go, try looking at some polks good output fer da price. but hit some audio shops0 preferably not bestbuy lol. see what brands catch your ears we all hear differently and what might sound perfect to me might be bassy for you :p

As far as the head unit goes i agree on Pioneer, its one of the top brands, especially if you plan on having an ipod to it. For speakers you might want to look into audioque, image dynamics or db drive
