I need a box to put 2 Eclipse SW7200's in and there gonna be powered by a Hifonics BXi 1206D amp, I'm not gonna make a box so I need a good box to put them in. Not sure to buy a sonic bandpass box or not?I don't want to spend more then $100 on a box

to get the best sound you're almost gonna have to build a box, i guarantee that it will pay off with some effort and it can be built for less than 100$

I don't want the best box, plus I go to college full time and work 50 hours a week, so I really don't have the time to do it.

I read some of your posts and what you are doing trying to run amp at at 1 ohm and the power you are talking about......you would be making a mistake to not house those drivers in a CORRECT box.......Buying a cheap box that is not right may get you an overheated amp or blown speakers.....When you push amp and speakers to the limits with a cheap box....you are asking for trouble....

The amp, the drivers, the box....they are all relative to getting good sound and making your stuff work and work right....

So do I and I still find time. Sorry that was mean and I apologize

G3n3R@1 and Willy D are 100% right. I don't care how good the woofer and amp are, if you want the best possible performance you need a box that is optimized for what you want.

Believe it or not, the BOX is 90% of your performance, the other 10% is product.

If you don't believe me then ask eazy, he is a believer.

indeed...my box kicked ass with a 4-5 year old sub with 300 watts...beat out a lot of 1000 watt two 12 inch sub systems

I understand where you guys are coming from with making a box, but realisticly, I have a pair of crappy 10'' mtx's right now in a sealed box that wasn't custom and even it sounds good. So what you consider not good, is good. I'm not looking for professional top of the line hardware, but something that sounds good and honestly, I really don't have the time to make a box, it would take way to long, weeks, and I don't want to wait. If it is the difference between awesome bass with a custom box or just buying a box that sounds pretty good, I'll prolly pick the buying the box. I'm prolly buying a sonic electronix bandpass box, I know somebody that has one and there loud as hell and sounds great, so hopefully that works out for me. thank you for all the info.

prefab bandpass boxes acutally sound like a loud one note fart...does not sound good at all.

Maybe you think it sounds good because you have never heard a good sounding sub system...but hey if it sounds good to you than hats off to you. Just saying once you hear your crappy subs in a good box you'll realize what you are missing
