yeah hi, i am semi new to car speaker systems. I put in my components with the help of a friend who has been doing it for years.

Now i have the infinity reference series components up front, and kenwood full range in the back hooked up to a clarion DXZ775USB

my question has to do with the subs from the components, there is a rattle on my left side and i think it might be the speaker cover because i think the speakers might be touching the cover. I have tried sanding down the inside of the cover so it wouldnt be rubbing against the speaker. i just want to get rid of that rattle because it makes me worry that its blown but it doenst make that noise untill i get into about 23/30 in the volume but i outfitted my car in aftermarkets so i could crank my system up a little louder than that.

also if any of you have any of you have tips on tuning a clarion head unit that would be great. I know its up to the user to find out how they want the system to sound but i can figure out all that Q curve stuff. all i know is i want my system as loud as possible without worrying about the sub sounding ****ty from the bass because in another month im getting two 10 inch subs to take care of the bass, i just wont the components to be loud, i got components for the hi and mid sounds

try checking the tighness of the driver itself, it might be a little loose on the install side, if not put the vol up a bit and pin out exactly where its comming from, use the good old hold down technuiqe hold stuff down tight till it stops rattling.
