  1. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jeremy. I have been a car audio addict since the age of 12 & I'm now 33. I'm more of a SQL guy. I like my music to sound clean, but I never get tired of making the younger ones with either the all treble or all bass turn theirs down at a stoplight...:D. I'm married with 3 kids and my 4 year old is already getting the itch. My car audio is just a hobby to keep me out of trouble (except when the wife finds the receipts..lol), my day job is I sell stuff on ebay, everything from electronics to furniture. So its nice to meet everyone, and I look forward to learning from this site....

I'm open to all comments, good or bad. I'm always looking for ways to improve.

  2. I almost forgot, this is a car audio site...I drive a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. I have a Absolute AVH6000 in dash dvd w/ 7" Touchscreen. I had a Kenwood KVT-911, but this one had the features I wanted for the price I could afford (3 kids)..lol. Up front I have a set of Infinity Kappa 462.9cfp's and I took the stock tweeters out of the sail panels and put a set of Infinity Ref 1031T's in. I have no rear fill and my mids & hi's are run on a Hifonics ZXi4410. For my lows I have a set of Alpine Type R 1022D's in a custom built vented enclosure. Each chamber is 1.25cf before displacement of the subs & the box is tuned to 38hz. They are run on a Hifonics BXi2010D @ 2 ohms. It says the amp puts out 1300 rms @ 2 ohms, maybe @ 14.4 volts all the time, but I would say I'm getting at least 900-1000 rms. I'm not done. It was my 1st ported box so I used more wood than I should. When I get the $$ I'm planning a false floor and mount the amps into the floor and a false front just for looks. I've always been good w/ wiring, but I just started building my own boxes and amp racks. Learn by mistakes...
