Head unit running battery down when switched off

    Hi
    I bought a car the other day and I have taken my pioneer head unit from my old car (fiesta) which has never caused me any problems and put it in to my new car (Peugeot 206cc). The problem is that overnight the head unit has run my battery dead even though the car and stereo were both switched off. it has been installed exactly the same as before. Could someone please help me with some ideas of what the problem could be.

    I find it hard to believe that a radio can run down a battery. Also, it didnt run down the battery in the previous car. So whats up?

    Do this, disconnect the Pioneer red wire after you shut of the car. Let it sit over night, did the battery go dead? If so

    Hook the red wire back up and disconnect the yellow wire, then do the same thing, let it sit over night. Did the battery go dead? If so its not the radio.

    Try this and let us know what happens
