I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_18305_SPL+GRLA3000-1D.html Or the http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17598_Hifonics+BXi+1610D.html I have heard mixed reviews on the hifonics amp but i havnt heard anything about the SPL amp.I just wanted to get some opinions on how yall think they are
i know nothing about those. but i recently got a Power Acoustik Gothic series amp and i am still impressed by its performance. not sure about the cost diff between these to but im positive its just as good. the kind i got was Power Acoustik Gothic Series
The hifonics is a pretty good amp. I used to have a hifonics 1200d. They dont put out quite what they are rated, but they are pretty good amps for the money.
i heard that with the Hifonics you gotta be careful and make sure they are wired and set to a tee. otherwise there could be a potential failure. im not bashing them at all, they are an excellent amp for the money just are a bit touchy i hear.
out of the two amps you posted, i would pick the hifonics. they are good budget amps. i had the 1200d and it worked out very well. but if you were looking for a good amp around the same price range, you should check out the elemental designs nine.1...they are still having a sale on that amp, they are great amps and they are quite beast. http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_22&products_id=44
Dont know anything about the spl amp, but I do own a 1205D Hifonics amp, in fact I have 3 Hifonics amps, 1 1205D Brutus, 1 Titan class D (1500@1 ohm) and 1 4 channel amp. All 3 amps have worked perfectly from day 1 and sound very good. i was a little worried about the 1205 D putting out that much power cause it looked very small but after it was hooked up it really pushed the subs hard. I have nothing bad to say about the Hifonics and would buy them again.
