I am looking for the best 6x8 speakers out there. I know some of the best are Alpine type-R's and Infinity kappa, and those are my options right now unless theres something better. I like speakers that have good bass and can handle loud volume. I already have a JL 320.4 amp sending 60 w to all 4 speakers.

Also which are better: the Type-R's or the Infinity kappa's?

neither are the BEST speaker. the best speaker is the one that sounds good to your ears and is a match to your wallet.

but those two brands do make good sounding speakers. you might also want to look at polk audio. i have both polk and infinity in my truck and they have given me years of great sound for the money i payed.

My vote goes to polk on this one, even though they weren't an option.I had some polk 6x9's back in the day powered by an old school blaupunkt amp and they rocked.

After looking at the polks, all of their speakers look good. What 6x8 speakers from them would you guys recommend?
Of all the 6x8's out there which ones have the best bass?
Im probably going to keep the KS680's in the back of my truck and get just 1 new pair of speakers for the front of my truck. The speakers i have now have really good highs but barely any lows so i want to get something that has good lows to balance it out

Well,I liked the polk from the mid 90's.I installed some polk db571's in a friend truck, and didn't care for the sound.I didn't spend much time with his setup, but he says they're amazing(in his words).

I've always liked infinity speakers, they sound great and have lasted me years in leaky doors that used to get full of water. I know several people that use polk speakers and they swear by it. Can't go wrong with either one
    What's your budget?

why not save a little on you door spkrs and get you a nice 8" subwoofer in a nice little sealed box? that would have some nice clean bass.
