I have these speakers for my fronts Infinity Kappa 62.7i Car Speakers I have this amp to power all 4 speakers Infinity Reference 7541a \RB Amp: Multi-channel I need to order some rear 5x7 speakers now. I'm not putting subs in so speakers with good bass would be what I'm leaning towards. Price range is no more than $100. Any suggestions?
Hi, welcome to CAT! I've heard that infinity speakers kinda lack in the mid bass department. I'd suggest you go to a local car audio place and listen to some speakers and decide on which ones you like the best. Everybody has their own preference on what they like so i'd say trust your own ears. If you like they way they sound then get them. The amp that you chose is good just be careful and keep the gain down. That amp puts out 139 watts per channel at 2ohms (the speakers you chose are 2ohm speakers) You may risk frying the speakers if you put too much power to them. Never look at the peak or max handling of a speaker, always look at the RMS of a speaker and try to match it against the RMS output of the amp. You may want to look into 6.5' component speakers. Brands like CDT and polk have sets that go for under $100.
