front speaker prob from sub install

    hey, I installed 2 12'' sony xplod subs a few days later my front speakers stopped working. The amp i use is a Pyramid Crystal 1000 watt ampm and i have a JVC head unit. I was wondering what could have caused the speakers to stop working? the car is a 2000-01 Ford Escort sport zx2 thanks.

    are the front speakers amplified by an external amp and not the HU???

    nah they go through the head unit like they did before the amp installation.

    could be your head unit...check all of the connections and see if there is a short anywhere...take out your head unit and test the HU's speaker outputs with a DMM to see if there is any output at all
