I have a Rockford Fosgate T2000 Amp. On the back of it it has a switch to select frequency multiply 1X or 10X. Does anyone know what this switch is for?
Probably for the x-over. the numbers on it are probably like 50 - 500 or something like that. In the x1 position, that is the frequency you wil be using...say the dial is set to 65, and the switch is set too x1, then you will have a x-over freq of 65 Hz. Flip the switch to x10 and the freq will be 650 Hz....... Same thing applies to all other numbers, simple math really, but i can see where some folks get confused not knowing what it really means. or how the x-over works.
Thanks for the replies but they dont help me much. First off there is no settings on teh frequency multipler other than 1x or 10x. There is a frequency knob that can be set to 40-400 hertz which is what I am assuming you are talking about. However I still dont know why one setting would be better then another. For instance why would I want 65 hertz rather then 650 hertz or visa versa?
depends on whther you want to cross over a sub, tweeter, mid bass, mid....... Lets make this real easy, what do you want the amp to run? a sub? your highs? a set of mids OR a set of tweeters??????
