I know some of you guys are into home audio. Well I thought I should pass along that we are giving away a free Sadhara subwoofer. All you have to do is enter the contest. Go here for contest info. This sub has been reviewed by two magazine's lately. The first time it was beat out only by a coffin size subwoofer costing around $10k IIRC. It of course had the lowest distortion, especially down low. The review coming out soon in Stereophile has it going against many different subs. From what I heard, the only subs to beat it were the really high end ones (I think all over $10k). All bias put aside, it is by far the best sounding subwoofer I have ever heard. I have watched several movies here using that sub and only 250 watts. It is just as transparent as the Brahma, almost to where you don't think there is a subwoofer hooked up. But then an atomic explosion happens (Sum of all Fears) and the whole room just shakes, along with your innards. It is just sooooo clean, and so impressive. A definite must hear. Good luck! Steven Kephart Adire Audio PS: sorry if this sounds like spam. I get a little excited about these things. If you heard the sub, you would be excited as well.
Is there any rule against an Adire Affiliate entering? I saw the contset and thought it would be cool, but I wasn't sure I was allowed to enter.
I thought of you and asked. Unfortunately Dan says that employees and dealers are not allowed. That means I became a judge for nothing. <_< Just kidding BTW, I'm not a judge. Steven Kephart Adire Audio
Ooh, tricky rules! By "size", do they mean the driver size, or the height of that cabinet? Is that a trick question?
Weird, I thought I was registered over there... I think I was thinking of HomeAudioForum, maybe that's the one I gave up on, after typing a 40 minute long post, and having the server eat it after telling me "I didn't have enough posts to be allowed to post links" The killer is, I actually did that twice... I'm not going back, what a bunch of rules for children. Keep the childish games somewhere else, you know? Well, I registered now at that forum... now I need the administrators to activate my account... it doesn't stop.. what is it with these home audio forums?
Hehe, I don't know. I find that annoying as well. I was really getting annoyed at DIY Audio and having them "moderate" my first posts before they were allowed. So my posts would get burried in the conversation, never to be seen by anyone. But I posted links on HTF before. I wonder why yours didn't go. Another annoying one now: The CAF forum seems to be "busy" way more now since the change-over. This includes unusual times like 9AM this morning.
I signed up. BTW: Stephen, tell Dan I'll be calling on Thursday to talk to him. And if you pick up the phone you better talk to me this time.
Free sub!??!? I already got mine already... Steven didn't notice me hauling out the demo Sadhara on my way out from the audio meet.... It fit nicely in the trunk of my Acura EL.... Now if only I could get my hands on the Everest and also make it fit in my car..... btw, that PVS venting system is pretty cool... I never would have thought of doing it that way, but it saves so much space...
