i am doing an upgrade on a corvette and the owner wants to add extra speakers. which would work better with the system i am allready installing

infinity speaker and a jl audio amp are going in

should i install two small subs or can i install 4 6 inch speaker that match the other infinity speakers being installed?

he is looking for very loud clear music not the heavy bass

you know what jl audio makes a 6.5in sub.was looking at them to put in my doors.i think they were 100 each or close to that.look on tweeter.com same as sound advice.then find them online cheaper.

2 eight inch subs on about 300 clean watts. would make an excellent bottom end , not overpowering, and loud enough to blend in, other wise yes 4 six inchers would do a nice job. Did a stingray a few years ago with one 8 incher on 200 watts for the bottom registers, performed nicely, but not enough in the end when the customer was going down the road. added another 8 and a ported box on the same amp, was hapy then, the guy is 57 and likes the oldies, it was perfect in its sound to him, he couldnt be happier.....
