I got some focal krx2's in my trailblazer ss with a arc audio amp 300.4 - It sounds like crap. I feel like the tweeters do all the work. If you put your ear in front of the 6-1/2 it sounds sort of foggy and the voice doesn't sound clean. I would be happy with just the tweeters. I have had them for about 2 weeks and I am just big time un happy. I would have been happyier with the stock bose. whats going on??? Do I need more power to them because they don't even really move. If anyone could help me tackle this problem that would be much appreciated. Do any of you have focals and if you put your ear or face in front of the speaker they sound good? My tweeter is on the dash and the speaker is on the door so I am not sure if thats a very big problem and they need to work together. they are in the stock speaker location. THANKS!
2 of my favorite brands, I have the Polyglass 165 comps, they sound awesome, no complaints at all. The first thing that comes to mind is you have the amp set on hp and its only letting the highs come through. make sure its set on FP for full pass or FR for full range. Aslo make sure the midbass sre mounted properly , nice and tight with no air leaks. As for your amp choice it should be fine, esp since the speakers are 2 ohm so it should make that amp scream. ARC audio amps always have very high dampening factors so they control your speakers very well and they almost always make more than rated power. Your set up should sound awesome.
