I was looking at a 4" flared port (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=268-352) and i was wondering how these perform as opposed to slot ports? They come in different sizes and what not. I've just been thinking of doing something a little different, rather than always doing a slot port design on my box.
any sonic differences?? No...a port is a port...as long as the air velocity is low enough and enough port area is good I highly doubt any person can define the shape of a port by listening.
