Ok...well when I first installed my speakers two years ago...I wired a couple out of phase and such. Well today I came home from work early so I decided to run some new wires and recheck all the wiring. The rear speakers were out of phase in relation to each other...I was wondering why it was so quite back there. I ran some new 18 gauge wiring through the doors for future upgrades....still have to run 16 or 12 gauge to the front doors. Damn the difference is crazy...the highs SCREAM now...and the bass is also a lot better. These speakers sound soo much better....They can sound even better though once I finish deadening the door and sealing it up Still need to find time to build my box...Sucks because the guide plate on my saw now is bent...I dunno how it happened but it doesn't cut a straight edge now....damnit
Hey AZN http://www.caraudiotalk.com/audio-forum/car-stereo-speakers/5259-i-make-mistakes.html please read post #9 I remember all
Ahh yes I remember that...yeah the difference is HUGE. I have alternator whine. It's so annoying that I always crank up the volume full blast so I can't hear it lol Haven't tried grounded the HU chassis the to amp yet. Its a cheap Lanzar 2 channel my cousin gave me. It works for the time being though Hey Ranger I have a question for you in your thread about tweeters "Just a Suggestion"
Wow, you say they scream now, I think my front speakers are wired out of phase, I can hear them but I can hear my back speakers way better over the front speakers when I'm driving, I might need to check that stuff out
yeah...they are quite loud. This is only off about 20-25 watts per speaker. I plan on giving them around 50 watts with a new amp...they will be even louder. I think people would not expect this output from 60 dollar a pair of 6x8speakers. I played a sine sweep and the speakers play down to around 30-40 Hz still audible. Well the fronts do because of the heavily dampened door...the rears don't do so well yet. I was planing on getting some components to keep up with the bass but these do a damn good job
with a componant wouldnt you be loosing cone area.a 6x8 is bigger than say a 6.5 cone. hell i'd love to squeeze an 8 in my doors.
orrrrrrrrrr.............. i know its not the best upolstery job,and those are mids not subs. it was loud as hell though
