i just about my car ready for next years race season. i completly gutted every thing and putin a full 12 point roll cage and a custom aluminum dash board and a simpson aluminum race seat i also lowered the car and put air bags in the back and set at 4000lbs in the right rear and 0 in the left so on the take off it doesnt get as much body flex now for the motor, a 460 bored 40" over with speed pro pistons with a 77.0cc and the dome is -22.0cc, .180 dish and a set of cobra aluminum jet heads that have a 330 cfm in./225 cfm ex. they have a 290cc intake runners an a 72cc chambers. next thing i need is a properly sized cam and a flow thru carb. for the turbo set up. so i think low 9's should come real easy especially when i shaved off about 500lbs of wieght.
oooo. nice.. uh, really. I only want a couple things in life. 1. A car I can just go crazy with sounds 2. A daily driver 3. and a FAST ASS Sleeper that could at least pull tens but I'd like to do 8's (like a 55 chevy or Ford High boy) Question.... why just airbags in the back? I know what they do, but I don't know if they serve any preformance boost. Am I wrong? lol
no viking thats right it's a 460 block bored to about a 500 c.i and ibanez the airbag is springs with with bags inside which are designed to for drag racing cause when the motor pulls to the right it takes the body with it which causes body flex so the bags give you a quicker response and a straighter launch with out the motor tourqing the body over and the springs are 6 1/2 inches tall
