I had a friend whom used to work for Fosgate(15 years ago)tell me that I should coat the inside of my sub box with fiberglass resin. He claimed that it would make a huge difference.Any thoughts?

HUGE difference, no. A small difference, ya. MDF, particle board, etc.....ALL has leakage to it. What i mean is that it is not air tight. So when the drivers are moving air a very small percentage of this air "leaks" so to speak. By painting resin in the box this stops the air leakage. So it is not a bad thing to do. Will it make the box stronger and resonate less? NO imo.... I have done this to many boxes in years past. I could not tell any discernable difference in sound quality myself. But again, it wont hurt nothing.

Thanks Viking,I was thinking about trying it.But now I'm not so sure,I could spend money on other things that will show more improvement.
