Installing my son's new AMP (Crunch 2 Channel-1200 watt) and Subs (3 MTX Thunder 4000) next weekend. He has a factory stereo (2004 Sebring Conv.) and does not have RCA. He only has a few bucks left after this purchase and wanted to hook them up using a line in converter until he gets $'s for a new stereo. Would he experience any loss of quality in using a converter - especially at the level of his amp and subs. Or would he be better off getting a cheap aftermarket (used?) stereo and save up for a better one at a later date.

These sites are a great resource. I used a similar sight when setting up my home theater.

I had to have line outs in my Sable cause you cant install an aftermarket stereo, I have 2 amps and it sounds great, no problems.

? Why can't you install an aftermarket in a Sable?.. I owned one, but I didn't have it long enough to do any electric work.. But my friend has a Taurus, and it's the exact same car, except one has a Mercury and one has a Ford emblem on tha front, and she has a Pioneer cd player in her car..

MTX, It has the electronic controls, a/c, fan speed, temp and its all built into the radio. The one you are reffering to has the 3 rotary controls.
