I just sprayed some minimal expanding foam inbetween the crossbeams on my trunk lid. Has anyone else done it? If so what were the results of it?

Yes, with great results. Use the Dap Tek (blue black and white can) rather than the Great Stuff (orange/yellow/white can). It is less expanding and less likely to damage the trunklid when it expands.

I used some stuff called Touch & Foam. Its been an hour and the trunk lid isnt harmed, so I am pretty happy! It seems to have isolated the rattling to the tail lights and the very back of the trunk lid (I ran out of foam for the part near the lock). I will probably get another can or two tommorow.

Great solution, just be careful with it!

I've heard the same suggestions to go with the DAP low-expansion foam myself in the past...

Dap Tec, my suggested material is about $4 a can. Great stuff is about the same.

Yeah I think I paid something like $3.50 after taxes.
