Where can i find some info on the axles? 26 spline, 28 spline?????????
I found out on NastyZ28.com that I have 2.43 gears. There was some talk about finding a donor truck rear end with some lower gears to use the carrier. I've decided on 3.23 gears. Do I need a new carrier? what kind of truck should i look for to get a donor rear end?

I was at the track and some of the guys where telling me that they just put spools in their cars. But I was reading in the summit catalog that says spools are for track use only.

Do you have any other suggestions to get more rubber pulling?

I think the carrier will be OK up to about 343s, may be a bit lower, but you'll be OK with 323. Go to a boneyard, any posi 10 bolt with the proper gears will suffice. You will have to count your splines on the axle yourself, so far as I know, that is the only way to tell.

SandT.....the guys over at the NastyZ28 forum are telling me that the lowest gears I can get in my carrier are 3.08's because its only a 2 series carrier. I want to put 3.23's in but I would have to get a new carrier according to those guys.

How much difference would be noticable between 3.08's in my current carrier or 3.23's in a 3 series carrier?

May be so. I am not used to gears that high. I'll look to see what would be required for a gear upgrade.
