I have this sub, but never got the manual with it, so I don't know the specs. I need to know what size box to build for is (sealed) and what the power specs are (RMS and MAX). I have an Eclipse XA1000 I could throw at it (480 RMS @ 2ohm), but I hear this sub is very power hungry. Should I get a different amp for this sub? If so, any recommendations? I am mainly looking for SQ, but a little SPL would be nice too. I mostly listen to Rock, Jazz, Classical, ect. Any idea where I can get a manual for this sub? The headunit is a CD 8052 with an 8 volt pre-out, so any amp I use needs to be able to take an 8 volt input. Thanks for any replies...
ECLIPSE by Fujitsu Ten It looks like you will be under powering the speaker... is 500rms for sub. amp out put is 320 @ 4 ohm and 480 @ 2 ohm. How old is the sub? I entered the info into BB6 and it recomends a vented box. If you want sealed then it should be .9 cf. including the sub.... vented is 1.25 cf w/1.5" vent -7.375 long that includes volume for sub and vent. the numbers look nice
