Ola, has anyone heard of using ice & weather shield as a sub for dynamat? A buddy of mine says it is more economical & just as easy to use , with the exception of removing the pebbles from the outer side since they`re gonna fall off anyway.... Any thoughts?
never heard of that but roof flashing (peel-n-seal) is a good substitute. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=154017-81326-PS625
ive had peel n seal in my doors for about 2 yrs now. one day im going to go back and double it all up. when i did it i was kinda broke so i only did the doors not the door panel too.
it works and it's pretty easy to do. you have to do the inner door skin and the outer skin under the door panel but you'll have to totally seal the door off with the stuff. it's also a good idea to door the inside of the door panel as well. it is time consuming but it works!
