i want to run 3 amps off my battery is that to much. 0 gauge cable runs from the battery to a distribution box and from there either 0 or 4 gauge wire to the amps but do i have enough power if not what can i do so i do have enough power.

you have to be more specific. how much rms power are your amps rated for?

ok how are they wired? 4 ohm stereo? 2 ohm stereo?

i found your amps and the sub amp is 600 watts while the other 2 are 60 x4 and 125x2 @ 4ohms. so that puts your RMS power at just over 1000.

how big is your battery and alt too?

i will give you the complete system. OK the headunit is a Pioneer DEH-P8100BT, front component speakers are TS-D1720C they will be run through the pioneer 2 Channel GM5400T, the speakers in the rear doors are TS-D1602R and the speakers in the rear shelf are pioneer TS-D6902R they will be running through the pioneer 4 Channel GM6400F and the subs are TS-W307D4 running through the GM-D8400M wired parallel at 2 ohm. I was wanting to run 12gauge speaker wire to all the speakers is that required or would 16 work just as well. Power will be supplied via a 1/0awg cable running from the battery to the fuse under the hood then to the distribution block located in the trunk. From the distribution block the cable will change to 4awg cable running the amps and 4awg cable for the ground. I also will upgrade the big 3 using 1/0awg cable.

The cars alternator is 80amp,the battery i dnt know. What size would i need?

how do you recommend i set it up and wire it, what would you do? and yeah sorry for the lack of info not the best when it comes to car audio

sounds like you have a stout system there!! i assume all the speakers are wired to 4ohm except the subs. so then a lil over 1000 watts.

your wiring sounds to be very capable of supplying your amps with enough power.

the alt may be a lil small but as long as you battery is large enough you should be fine.

have you done the big three also? do you know what that is?

its upgrading the wire from the alt to batt, the batt ground to frame and engine block.

the bigger the better. the power will flow with less resistance helping the electrical system work better.

i should mention i have around 1600 rms and a stock 105 amp alt and an upgraded batt.

if you need a batt go for the largest that will fit under the hood. or just add another in the rear.

so you think it will be ok and what size fuse do u think i would need, would u use 12 or 16 gauge speaker cable

wouldnt u be better off just upgrading the battery and not getting a second one as that would just put more strain on the alternator

16 for the mids and highs should work. 12 for the subs. as for the batt, run the system and see if it will work for you. if not you can upgrade it later.

ok last question, would you only run one fuse on the 1/0awg power cable or would u do that as well as running fuses on the three 4awg power cables coming out of the distribution block

one under the hood and one for each amp is just fine
