Can you wire 2 4 ohm DVC subs in 4 ohm mono? I went to Circuit CIty and those Mongoloids told me you cant wire them like that. He told me he worked in Car Audio for 7 years and made me look like a dumbass but I could swear that it could be done.
yes it can be done... you parallel the coils on the subs then wire the subs in series....i think...i always get confued with the wireing unless i have it sittin right in front of me
Yes you can It is called Serier parrallel Follow these Directions The Subs are called Sub A and Sub B Each Voice Coil is called VC1 or VC2 1> Take Sub a Wire VC1 Positive to VC2 Neg 2> Repeat Step 1 on sub B 3> Now you have basically 2 SVC 8ohm Subs..... 4>Take SubA VC1 Neg. Wire it to Amp Neg 5>Take SubA VC2 Pos. Wire it to Amp Pos. 6> Repeat 4 and 5 replacing SubA with Sub B There you go 4ohm mono load
I would go back in there, ask for that guys boss, if that guy says it is not possible, ask for the Manager (unless it is a manger your talking to ) then ask for the District manager and so forth once you get high enough, make them all look like dumbasses if they can not even wie a DVC sub, how can you possibly trust them to install your stereo I would not let them WATCH me install something let alone have them do the work
I went to 6th avenue and they told me it cant be done. Im so pissed at these mongoloids.......
it is always preferred to go Series THEN parrellal[/b][/quote] o i c...i was unaware guess thats why they call it series parallel and not parallel series....plus the other way just sounds better
Thanks guys......I went back to 6th Avenue andI showed them the paper with Mike instructions. They told me that they thought I was talking about one sub and not 2 so it shouldnt be a problem at all.Unlike CC those guys were really smart and I got to drool over a 350Z inside the shop.
