I know nothing about car stereo, but i decided to install one on my own. I almost got through the whole buying process but i got stuck on choosing an Amp. So far i bought:
    Head Unit pioneer AVIC-Z1 http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_3151_295632461,00.html
I know Rockford Fosgate is one of the best for subs so i had no hesitation in buying a 1 channel sub amp and a 8" woofer

I jumped the gun and i bought these 6X9's http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4069_167642568,00.html
but i can return or sell them and buy better ones if you guys think that they are crap.
I just need help in choosing a 4 channel amp to push 4 6X9's that will sound good
I narrowed it down to these two

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated and i am looking for the best bang for the buch under $300 thanks.

Well I would suggest the alpine amp.

I have a friend with those 6x9's but the older model and they sound real nice when powered by an amp. They dont need that big of an amp(the infinity) to sound good.

I would also forget about the fosgate amp and sub. Their quality has really gone downhill in the past few years. I know you already bought, but return them if you can. if you can't, then just be real gentle with them.

I would suggest going with higher end alpine or kicker or infinity.

    let the flaming begin:D

I went with the Alpine and they sound great. I will have to return that 8" woofer anyway, my car has an opening for an 8" woofer that the upgraded sound system has so i thought i could just buy any old Woofer and AMP and stick it in there. Well the woofer sounded like crap, I had a friend come over and look at it and he said it was because it wasnt an Open-Air woofer. I dont want to install a box because i need my trunk space, and if i install a Box i definately wont use a little 8".

Where can i find an 8" Open-Air woofer?

If i cant find one i will install a Box with 2 12's that i can remove when needed, Is the Fosgate amp i have good enough to push 2 quality 12" Woofers?
    Thanks again.

here's the cheapest 8" free air I can find:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/KICKER-SSMB8-8-...ryZ18802QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

and that's for two of them.

Free air 8 inchers are hard to find, and IMO, free air subs sound like a goat crapping unless you have a bunch of them. I think you'd do okay with a high excursion, well built 8 if you want to use the current enclosure. Like this:

    http://www.abtelectronics.com/product/19251.html

if you decide to use the rf amp, then use subs that are efficient (low power handling) and put them in a sealed enclosure (smaller)

or use sturdier woofers and go with a ported box.

Just don't put low power subs in a ported box, even the fosgate amp will eventually eat them. And.. by the way.. sorry about the amp.. RF stuff used to be great, and now they just don't care about us anymore.:(

300 watts rms for two quality woofers? Prolly not...only thing that could push would be some low end woofers
