Ok now that i got the sub thing squared out...now onto my component set...i was thinking Polk Audio SR6500...any good?
If you have the money to spend that yes, you won't be disappointed with the polk. have you listened to them? you may also want to listen to focal or DLS but those polk are very nice comps.
im sure they are good... but they have the ring radiator tweeter.... most shops wont have these in their showrooms... so if you have a polk home theatre speaker retailer near you... like fry's electronics... the LSi series have these tweeters... it presents a smooth really natural sound I didnt really like it didnt seem to get loud but I guess for listening to classical music in SQ setup they would be amazing... but I like Polk's regular silk dome tweeter... like in these http://woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=2571 that tweeter is in there bigger towers... and when listening to movies they just shout... my brother personally has owned a large array of polk speakers.... http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/rtia/index.php#rtia9 he got those because they sounded alot better to use then the lsi ones... that tweeter is really smooth but with a gentle brightness... whenever I am at his place I go through all kinds of music to test out the sound... and it plays rap pretty loud, anything with sound effects is loud and seems to slap you with sound quality and detail... reviews for the speakers you were looking at are on here... http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/products/speakers/6-1-2/ but mind that there is one a few reviews...http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/products/mm6/?reviews=1 sorry for such a long reply... ha ha. if it were up to me id go with the mm6 set... alot less money if they fit fine if I could afford them and have a place for them I would be all over them.... but its up to you... I like the alpine spx series too. you will get more input im sure.
focal... ive heard the polyglass a couple times... not tooo impressed... but the k2 power comps are really incredible... the best speakers I had ever heard and ive heard alot... they took the place of some mb quart Q's in my brothers bmw. and it was alot loud and just crazy clear the sound was out of this world but 7 bills is kinda crazy too.
