ok i hate the fact that my orions cant play deep bass in my new box.

box specs..2.25 cubes per chamber, vented. tuned to 35. according to the builder.

what can i get that will play deep bass well in this box.

want a dual 4 ohm sub x2. 1 ohm final load preferred.

. i just want ideas. nothing too expensive. only need to handle 300 to 400 per sub rms

2.25 cu ft per chamber right?

Why not get some CVR's? you can get them off ebay for about $150 shipped for a pair of 12" CVR's.

They won't burn a hole in your pocket and the max requirements for a box for them is 2.25 cu ft per sub according to the kicker site.

We all know you like kicker and they can give the lows you want.

cccullen is right, those kickers are dogged on alot, but there really good subs for the money, and i know from exp. you will break mid 140's like you want in the right box

    38 x 18 x16. 3/4 inch mdf. dual chamber.

and the port is like 14 or so inches deep. if you want i'll measure it. but with it open it looks to be at least 14-13 inches.2 in wide opening.

its back in the truck. i just couldnt take the lack of subsonic freqs.

i did some figuring on RE's site and my kicker box must be tuned around 25-28hz.

so it stays in till i can afford a new d2 L7 10in sub to take advantage of my amps ability to go down to 1 ohm.

Get 2 L5s that way you can push the full 800 watts, they are 450 watts each yes? I can help design a box if you need it.

at one ohm my amp throws out 600-700 watts.

i'll just get a d2 ohm sub and still use my box.

Yeah, just get an L7... You won't have to spend that much that way and i'm sure you'll be a lot happier.

oh i'm happy now, just power hungry. lol.

i'm thinking of hitting up a pawn shop for a saw.so i can just build boxes.

You have a lot of luck with pawn shops... Look for a saw pedro. I don't think building boxes is that hard. Even my FG with MDF box wasn't such a chore.

It was kind fun especially seeing the end result.

I'll do that over the weekend. It's usually dark by the time i get home (it gets dark here at 5:30pm). I going to make some adjustments with the amp placement. I'm going to get some MDF and mount the amps on it so it will look a lot cleaner.

As far as sound goes, i barely have the amp gain up, the sub is barely moving. The wife doesn't want that much bass. I think the gain isn't isn't even 1/4. got it set REAL low. Just have it set so you hear a little thump. That's the way she likes it and it's her car so there ain't much i can do. lol

It sounds pretty good especially for the money i spent on it. I spend less than $100 for the 2 amps and the sub is only a kicker comp.

Important think is, my wife is very happy with it.

200.00 for my rhinos man! (plus shipping) that box they built for you would be perfect for these subs (and ALOT louder in your blazer)
