I get in my car to listen to my Cannibal Ox cd and the HU displays T--, meaning that something is wrong with the cd cuz it cant read it. So I press eject, the faceplate comes out(alpine 7893) and the HU just buzzes for like a minute, stops, and starts buzzing again. I pressed close but the HU was not responding....I ended up manually closing the damn thing and listening to the radio!

What am I supposed to do?

Get a pair of tweezers into the slot, and grab and pull it while hitting the eject button. Also, many Mfgs will have a hole where you insert a paperclip and it will release the disc.

woulda thot by now, you'd know the sound when there's no disc inside and you press eject.

besides, when you close the face, doesnt it say "NO DISC" on the screen?!?

why did you have to manually close the thing?

Thats the thing....It never did this before!

It didnt say no disc! It said Error!
It really sounded like there was a disc inside!

Oh man I had a really long and fucked up weekend so this just adds to it...no biggie

I had to manually close it because it opened and froze....jsut kept buzzing and none of the buttons would work, it wouldnt close or anything!
Something was wrong but it fixed itself!

Hit the reset button? It is free and can't screw it up anymore.

My Panasonic does that all the time when it's COLD out. I have to wait for about 15 minutes before it warms up enough. Every Pioneer and Eclipse unit I've had have done the same thing. I don't know where you live, but it gets pretty darn cold here, and that's the problem I have. Of course, I DO have the CD in the player.
