i have a 3200 watt autotech amp hooked up to one immortal audiobahn twelve. i always blow the fuse up under the hood and i was wondering if i got a cd player would it stop that, because i am tired of putting new fuses in. all i have now is the factory cd player though
No..................... Is the fuse "melting",warping, solder in it flowing out the sides, or is it actually popping the centor of the fuse like it wuold in a catastophic failure orfrom excess current draw???????????
What is your amp fused at?? How big of a fuse do you have under the hood??? Guessing 3200watt peak so 1600 rms...standard idea...so if the amp is really a 3200 watt peal amp and 1600 rms the amp should be fused at around 115 amps. If this is the case than your fuse under your hook should be atleast 100 amp fuse...Also get a real fuse and fuse holder if you have a puny agu fuse and holder.
