First off hi all! This is my first post. I have a question I have 2 comp. kicker cvr 10's runnin to the new 1000 watt rockford 500-1bd. Then I have a power acoustik gothic series amp ov4-600 amp pushing 2 xp2k-573 speakers and 2 visonik v540xtc component speakers. My deck is a kenwood exceleon about 2 years old it was $379.99 when I bought it. So the complete system can run pretty loud for a long time however if I turn it up really loud my components and speakers kind of cut out and sound like crap after about a total of 20-30 seconds. But my subs run fine. Any ideas on what I can do?
Perhaps raise the x-over of the highs to the area of 300Hz, turn the gain down on the highs amp, and be sure The x-overs for the tweeters dont have a blown out capacitor (that will show as a dead short to the amp) Oh! And Welcome to our site!!!!!
