I have two alpine type r's in the back of the trunk......... they are running on a hertz ep 1 amp so i should hit 1000 watts rms..... Problem is... I dunno if i'm wrong but the subs aren't sounding right.... They sound way weaker than I expected......... Sometimes I think my 75 watt subwoofer at home sounds clearer, and teh vibration is very light in the car.... it sounds okay in the trunk but I thought 1000 watts was supposed to be pretty loud Like... loud enough for someone outide the car with the trunk closed.. edit: dunno if it matters, but this is a small car, toyota tercel 97
Ported box and uh... I'd probably have to get pictures and show you how it's wired i got it done at a shop. I'm not sure what to say to them cuz i'm not sure if somethings wrong or it's just how it is ..
the subs could have been wired out of phase of each other. take a look at them as they are playing and se if they are both moving in and out at the same time. they should be moving in unison.
I took it to the shop and it looks like I didn't totally understand how the bass volume worked on my head unit. I was used to another setup.... thanks for the help. BTW: My subwoofers are working well for me now, but.... My mids and highs are too loud past mid volume, i'd like to hear my subs. I wanted to use the equalizer but people told me that adding to the lows on the equalizer could damage my speaker. Is this true?
