Ok, I bought some new subs, http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB1222/Polk-Audio-db1222.html?tp=112, and I found an old amp in the garage, It's a MTX TA7804, it's a 4 channel amp but the website shows 800w x 1 @ 2 ohms. It's got a button on the top that switches from 4 channel to 2 channel but I'm not sure how to go about it or if it's even possible to get it down to one channel stable. Any help would be appreciated.
you must be looking at the wrong amp specs. you can't bridge a 4ch amp to 1 ch. 2 channels yes but not one. so either wire the box to one channel,or buy a new mono amp and use the 4ch for your mids and highs. look for an amp that does 500 to 750 watts or a little more.

All + together and all - together. Make sure you have the switches on bridged for 2 ohm mono.
I've heard a guy talking about his mtx 4 chl that was also a mono 1 chl amp,but I didn't look into it until this thread was posted.
