I was looking to get a sub amp and a guy who says he "used too work at a shop" raved about the California profile amps. He said for what they are they are a good bang for the buck and good quality. I would like a few more opinions. He recommended the ap700 or ap1000 over the JBL and MTX units I was looking at. I am just looking for driving 1 or 2 10" subs in a regular cab pickup with a stock HU and upgraded speakers, nothing hardcore. What do you think?

i'm running a 600 watt Profile California (model 800sx) pushing 2 10'' MTX subs, and works real good even for an older model. No problems with it whatsoever, and a good quality amp that I bet can last a long time. I'd recommend it.

is it an 80s model, or new? if it costs more than $125 or is new, then no.

I was looking at the ap700 and ap1000 models. New on ebay they are between 90 - 150$ Right now I have a Kicker 10" truck wedge box and in the future I wanted to build or buy a box for two 10's or add a thin 12 box and keep the kicker 10. So basicaly now I just need to know between the two wich one I should choose.
