I want to use this amp (Kenwood 50W RMS x 4 @ 4 ohms, 400W Max) for 2-channels only. Can I bridge the 4-channels to make 2-channels and ultimately produce a higher RMS per speaker?

I think it has a switch to use it as a 2- or 4- channel amp but I I can't find wattage specs anywhere for using the 2-channel switch. If I use the 2-channel switch I should be using more wattage per speaker than using the 4-channel switch? That's the way most 4-channel amps are set up, right?

First off...bridging does not always make the amp produce more power.

Say you bridge 2 channels at 8 ohm...having that same amp at 2 ohms stereo would be putting out more power than it bridged at 8 ohms.

    Post model number.
