I have 2 Sony XS-GTX120L 12" 4 ohm Xplod Series 5-Sided Subwoofers with a 600 watt amp (300 to each). JUST purchased, brand new in box. How long do you recommend I break these in for? I was thinking 12 hours. Just songs with heavy bass at low volume, right? Oh, and if you don't think break in periods are necessary, please do not post. Thanks.
Well really Sony is not known for having very stiff motor structures, but yeah you got the idea of how to break a sub in. Basically keep the gains down a bit and be patient.
i never follow break in periods for my subs...they will break in eventually. first day i get anything, i set the gains, make sure everything is ok and i turn it up! no problems
