I'm hoping to learn a lot by coming here. I'm looking to upgrade my stock stereo system into something that will be a lot more enjoyable. I have a 2002 Toyota Corolla. I tried upgrading a year ago, but wasn't happy with the stereo, or the speakers. The rear deck speakers were quite a challenge. The factory speaker brackets are bolted or riveted on, can't remember. No speakers I found would fit the stock brackets. Any suggestions welcome! Thanks.
Here's a link to check what size speakers go in your car to start anyways. Post what sizes you have. Others will be in to help. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/car-speakers.html
Welcome to the site, you wanted to learn and you came to the right place I still learn and have lots lots more to learn.
You will definately learn a lot here. I learned a lot from the guys here and i know i have a lot more to learn. 2002 corolla? A lot of speakers will fit your car. You just have to let us know what you're looking for. A 5-1/4 component system will fit in your front doors and 6-1/2 or 6-3/4 will fit in the rear. Just let us know what kind of set up you're looking for. What kind of a headunit are you looking for? Do you want to put amps in? Sub/s? Most importantly, what kind of a budget are you on?
