two 6.5 inch R type mids from the component set, but my car is weird and even tho the speaker slots are listed as 6.6inch i still cant fit them in, so i guess i need some smaller ones?? neway money or trade which ever is best.i have refs on another forum for my xbox360 & feedback on ebay if needed.

Um...is there a factory plastic adapter plate??

My friends Honda Accord can fit either 5.25s or 6.5s in the front doors...stock is 5.25 but there is a factory plate that can be removed to perfectly fit 6.5's

if ur talking about the plates u get wit the speakers than yeah i got some but they didnt work either, the speaker slot is sorta slanted at the top so the bracket needed 2 be moved a bit to the left i.e. away from the hole.those r the only plastic adapter plates i kno of. i have a 95 chrysler concorde

also, i have a sony cdx-636 10 disc changer, but no din cord. i bought off ebay a couple months ago for like 50 bucks but this was b4 i bought my jvc hu.ill sell, but i would rather trade for a jvc disc changer, doesnt have 2 be 10 discs but as long as its good

Well...im not talking about the plates that come with the aftermarket speakers but on some models of cars the speaker locations have smaller speakers than the actually cutout can fit.

go get some 1/4 inch MDF and build a baffle. Cut out a shape of the factory speaker but leave about an inch all the around, then cut a hole in that for the alpines and mount the whole thing to the factory screw holes. Just make sure there are no air leaks. A lot of times that I do this I will use some dynamat on the back side of the baffle and it acts like a gasket. its not the perfect solution but its always worked good for me. The mdf does not resonate like those crappy plastic adapters. it takes a little time but it will work.
