im looking to make a box to put behind the seats of a single cab f-150,, i got about 8 inches of depth to work with at the bottom and a tiny bit less then that at the top. the subs are gonna be 2 of http://www.woofersetc.com/p5807/IDQ10V3D4--Image-Dynamics-10"-IDQ-Version-3-Subwoofer.htm the site days their mounting depth is 5.75 inches does that mean from the top to the bottom?, also how much room should there be between the magnet and the back of the box? should i double up the front of the box and recess the sub in? and also would about 1 cube per sub be good sealed? or less? they recommend .70 cubes but some people say a little more.
the specs say .55 to just over 1 cube for sealed boxes, so you are right onwith 1 cube per woofer. The mounting depth means that after 5.75 inches the magnet will come in contact with the back of the box.
sweet thanks, exactly what i needed to know, those subs seem almost borderline shallow mounts to me lol, most subs ive had are alot deeper then that.
