I talked to warbleed last night about using my old pioneers subs for a HT setup for mom and dad.... maybe an anniversary present or something if i can afford to buy the amp for it....
His reccomendation was 2.5 cubic feet isobaric setup with a passive radiator.
Now I've done research before on isobaric setups, but it seems to me at the time i was looking into a ported one. I'm not sure exactly how it'll work using a PR. Second of all, i don't really understand the concept of a PR. He told me it basically works like a port. Maybe someone can fill in the details for me here.... I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for your help,
    -Matt

basically...a passive radiator is used for low frequency extension....the f3 is higher...and the slope is steeper...

in any event...i'm sure this page will help you a great deal in learning the basics and what have you.....
