    running a 8cuft box is simply too large, the only advantage of a large box is a increased
    peak output at lower freq. however,this is true up to a point.too large of a encloser and
    the spk begains to unload (kind of like playing in free air). fb is enclosure resonance freq.

    my last post did'nt post,mabye it will this time-

    the 8cuft box- a port 20in H x 4in W= 80 square inches,20H x 4w X10.5L..port size.
    fb=enclosure resonance freq , f3= freq cutoff or -3dbs

    manufacturer's recommendations are usually for a flat response, i never use them. if you could give me the spk specs(a little clearer) i'll see what i can come up with for you

    dude in that car

    I would rec. the 4.5 2000 watts the reason is for that size trunk you will need to let the sub breath You start going with a gigantic box and you limit the air space the sub gets lower but the loudness drops out I learned this the hard way.The amp that your running is 3000 watts you drop voltage to the amp or have a week electrical the amp is still gonna push more than 2500 watts.Unless your sub is dual 2 and you plan on running 1 channel go with the 2000 watt enclosure. and in your trunk the car will play a factor so take demenstions and draw up a print make it with cardboard and tape to see how it fits.

    Well, I'm going with the 4-4.5 cubes, 35hz tuning and callinig it love lol. I hate the box build part, but its the most important part of the sub
